What has changed

Portal users will be available to define a period that the questionnaire is available to be answered. The default expiration period will be the next datetime that the questionnaire is scheduled to be sent minus one hour like in a Daily scheduling it will be 23h. Portal users will be now able to override the default expiration time by setting days and hours that the questionnaire will expire, from the scheduling time of the questionnaire. The expiration period input will be visible if and only if the selected notification type is questionnaire.

Expiration notifications are also available to be active or not active so that end users are notified that a received not answered questionnaire is about to expire. Notifications for expiration of a questionnaire will follow the pattern 2^6, where the result is translated in days before expiration. As a result, subjects will be notified in 64,32,16,8,4,2,1 day before expiration. Also, subjects will be notified 6 and 3 hours before the expiration.

How it affects you

As an HCP Customer you will be able to spread the collection of schedulled outcomes and increase adherence of the end users via notifications reminding them to answer close to the expiration time.  Also in the Questionnaire list a new column with the expiring date information is available so that communication could be done to increase the adherence to the study.

What has changed

We are now supporting glucose measurements that can be used for Type 2 Diabetes studies. The glucose data are collected similarly to the other measurements through the glucose widget with manual insert of data or through an integration with a digital glucometer called FORA. The aim is to improve patient outcomes and reduce errors associated with manual data entry for patients that have the FORA device.

The Glucose widget can be enabled from the Study settings, which is located on the sidebar, and under the tab Application as for any other widget. The portal user should move the Blood Glucose item from the “Available Widgets” to the section “Enabled Widgets”. After that the glucose widget is automatically accessible for any app user of this Study.

The enabled widget will have a dedicated Tab with Graphs at the Subject record page. The measurements can be Before of after events like meals but also before bedtime. Two histograms with different bins show below the range of the measurements.

The Mobile app user will see a widget for entering glucose measurements if the study supports it.

By tapping on the widget, the user is able to see the data entries for different date ranges (daily, weekly, monthly). Additionally, the user is able to add a new measurement by pressing the “Add Data” button at the bottom of the screen. The next step is to add the type of measurement from a selection list like if it is before or after a specific meal. Following you get to choose whether you will do manual entry of the measurement or through a connected device (For a G40). Informative alerts are shown when the device cannot be reached if no Bluetooth or internet connection is available and for out-of-range measurements.

How it affects you

As an HCP Customer you will be able to request measurements for blood glucose from your patients and monitor their progress. You may be able to request also control weeks that check across all posible events before and after meals during the whole week. Time specific reminders can support the control week to make sure that there is compliance from the patients.

What has changed

We have created a new functionality to allow authorized portal users to configure goals for different measurements of a study in order to motivate them positively to change their behaviors in specific domains.

Goals for specific domains are set on a study level but accessing the Goals page from the menu under the Study settings. These goals will be passed on to all subjects but the clinician can edit them per subject as well. From the Goals page you can add goals by selecting the (+) button for specific domain/measurement with low, high or within a range limits. More specifically:

  • Portal User will be authorized to setup/edit/view goals depending on the relevant access rights: Create/Edit/View
  • Portal User will be able to define daily or weekly goals.
  • Portal User will be able to select a measurement from: Steps, Water, Sleep Duration, Intensity Minutes.
  • Portal User will be able to define the calculation type for the Weekly goal intensity minutes: Sum or Average. For daily goals the default metric will be Sum.
  • Portal User will be able to define a lower and an upper limit for the goal. By default, lower limit will be always set to zero.

If you move to the Subject view you can see at the menu Goals the “Study Default” Goals. If the clinician changes them they will be changed to Set by “Clinician”

Goals are also visualised on each report tab if the measurement has a goal set to it. High limit but also range is available shown in two parallel lines

The Mobile app user will see Goals displayed on the widgets in the homepage if set by a clinician.

  • In the Daily page of the measurements, we see the Goal (i.e 8.000steps) for sum and average annotated and the percentage achieved at that moment with a completion progress circle. If for a Daily goal, we have a range (i.e 8-10.000 steps with an upper limit) for sum or average.
  • In the weekly/monthly graphs we show a greyed-out bar of the daily goal.
  • The range will be displayed similarly, and the progress will be completed once the lower limit is achieved. If the higher limit is passed, we will notify the user.
  • In the weekly and monthly graphs for a weekly/monthly average goal we insert a dashed line while for the weekly/monthly sum goal we use progress circles in the Steps and the active minutes.

How it affects you

As an HCP Customer you will be able to define specific goals that will be measured and monitored linked to specific time frames.  As a patient they will be able to agree and get committed to a given goal. When this is view and monitored in the app there is stronger engagement and commitment from the patients.

What has changed

We have made some changes in the different tabs at the Subject level Dashboards to improve the reading of some of the graphs.

Weight: We added a trend line on the weight plot and removed the weight change percentage line.

Heart rate:Added the option to isolate either the max heart rate or resting heart rate in order to identify easier a trend.

Liquids:Changed the clustered bar chart to 5 different charts. This decision makes data more readable, and lets you identify trends easier than before. Also added the average consumption per liquid category for the selected period. This addition helps to understand the habits of a selected patient in a glance.

Nutrition:Changed the clustered bar chart to single bar charts. (One per food this modification makes the report more readable and it is easier to identify trends.) Also in the food category frequency we changed the Y axis to show only root categories and not sub categories also (Starcy foods instead of pasta). We also normalized frequency by month, instead of a total “count” of each category. The advantage is that we can understand how many times per month, the subject consumes a particular category, without calculating it manually.

Medication Adherence: We added the overall medication adherence per medication. Each bar can be also used to filter the table above. The update provides easier examination of patient’s adherence.

How it affects you

We hope to offer an easier reading to the data collected from the application.

What has changed

We have simplified improved the structure of custom fields allowing the possibility to create tabs and sections within the tab.
By selecting the (+) button you can add a new custom field group (tab). The group given name will be the tab name.

Under the Tab you can choose to create a section with several fields or a section with a longitudinal table.

The Section name can be edited from the custom field list.

We also made some changes in the custom field configuration where the size of the field can be preconfigured given the ratio of space on the Subject Detail page.

How it affects you

Due to this flexible structure of custom fields, copying the data structure of the API, will allow a portal user to create a similar subject details page for clinicians of a multisite where one site has an API and the other doesn’t as. No existing custom fields will be changed.

What has changed
We have simplified the editing and viewing of general subject details. external Hospital data and or specific Study data aka custom fields.

All the Subject details will be viewed and edited under the Details tab. The Edit page that was accessed from the top corner will be removed and the Details tab will have the general information (system mandatory) on the tab “General” and any extra data coming from custom fields or API will be in other tabs.

As the custom fields are created per study. In a multisite Study if one site has clinical data inserted through an API and another site should be able to insert the same fields manually. The tab with the Hospital data will be visible to the ones that have API inserted data automatically and, in this case, the “Study data” (visible if custom fields are inserted) should be disabled and for sites that don’t have “Hospital data”, the tab “Study Data” will be visible.

How it affects you
You will now be able to create similar subject record page of clinicians in a multisite that one site might have an API  and the other might not have. If the Clinical data coming from an API are marked as editable only then the clinicians can edit the data which will overwrite the Hospital data. No existing custom fields will be changed.

What has changed
We have added in the portal the possibility to add a complex score to a questionnaire. You can find this feature in the questionnaire configuration page on the top right corner where by pressing the (+) button a calculator opens up and assists you to define one or more scores using arithmetic operations with the variables in the formula being the question codes of the respective questionnaire.

Scoring of Questionnaires for any subject can be monitored in the Questionnaire list as before and will be visualized in a new tab “Questionnaires” added at the Subject page Reports to offer longitudinal overview of scores and subscores for all questionnaires of the study.

How it affects you
Healthentia platform is not responsible for the use of licensed questionnaires outside the clinical setting. If a study has a commercial purpose then the Data controller running the study is responsible to make arrangements with the Organization that has published the questionnaire. The platform will no longer provide a pre-defined sum of the individual question scores of the questionnaires if scores are given in the questions. The calculator will be required to combine the question scores.
For the ongoing studies where a score was given to question
